VOE: Viñedos Orgánicos Emiliana, (Emiliana Organic vineyards) Colchagua Museum |
| In 1998 Viñedos Emiliana S.A. added high quality vineyards to Casablanca, Maipo, and Colchagua Valleys with the idea of incorporating them to the Organic Agriculture, originating in this way Viñedos Orgánicos Emiliana, a unique project in Chile and pioneer in Latin America. This winery has been considered as an organic wine producing winery, by the Swiss certifying Company “IMO” (Institute for Marketeology). Viñedos Orgánicos Emiliana is the first and only one in Chile that has obtained the biodynamic certification in agricultural production systems. This particular agriculture considers the soil as a living creature, where the visible and invisible characteristics of nature are related to create healthy ecosystems that contribute to the social well being. ISO 14001-1:Viñedos Orgánicos Emiliana S.A. is the first Chilean winery that voluntarily adhered to the international standards of care and protection of the environment.
